The second year builds on these skills by offering challenging projects that students might encounter in actual graphic design jobs. The first year emphasizes basic design and layout skills and introduces students to the Adobe Suite programs: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. This 36-unit course of study gives students the opportunity to develop design and software skills by creating realistic projects. Career opportunities might include: in-house graphic designer, digital illustrator, production artist, web designer and freelance designer.
Our two-year Certificate of Achievement provides students with skills and preparation for entry-level graphic design positions.
